Rubbing your hands together is the first step; this is to make them warm and nice. Then, gently put one palm over each eye. Just make sure that you cup your palms so that it don’t directly touch the eyes or put pressure on your eyelids. Place your elbows on a hard surface, like on a table or on your knees to make it relaxed.
           
Then, try to fully relax. Having your eyes closed underneath your palms, have the muscles in your whole body to begin to calm down. Begin with the top of your head and then slowly go down until you reach your toes, feel each muscle in between begin to relax.  You’ll notice that the calmer you are, the darker the blackness that your eyes can see is going to be. Sometimes you may see a grayish color in the beginning, but as you calm down that gray color will turn into darker shade of black. The deeper the blackness means that your eyes are more relaxed.
           
You need to clear up your mind from all of your thoughts. Try to forget all the lists and things that you need to finish and just concentrate only on the darkness that you can see. If it can be a help, you can also imagine lovely things such as flowers blossoming or the ocean waves.  You can try to maintain this relaxed stage for about 15 minutes.
           
After you open up your eyes again, you will notice that the things are more focused now. The shapes, lines and colors are sharper and your overall eyesight is much, much better.

Our vision plays a very important part in our memory process.  We can easily recall things better if the image processed is clearly seen. The first thing you have to do is to look for a comfortable position; this could be while sitting in your favorite couch or lying flat on the floor. Whatever your choice, make sure that your spine is straight and your hands are relaxed at your side. Then, close your eyes and imagine the image of then numbers 5 all the way to 0 in your mind. Exhaling, try to see clearly the 5 in your mind. Then relax and exhale completely by letting all the air go out from your lungs until you will naturally take the next breath.
           
Let your lungs to fill completely with air and this time imagine the number 4. Again, imagine the number clearly while you exhale. Try to see the lines, the color and the shape; don’t stop imagining the number until all the air has gone out of your lungs and take the next breath that will come naturally. Repeat this exercise until you get to 0.
           
Over time, you can be able to picture the images in your mind better and you can feel calmer along the way.

Maintaining better eyesight is important in keeping your memory sharp. Relaxation is the key to maintain your good eyesight for many years. Count how many seconds the image stays in your mind before fading away to darkness. Take note of this number. Do the same thing for the other eye and compare your findings.
           
Now try to relax the eyes and repeat the process. One way to relax the eyes is to close them and focus only on pleasant thoughts and happy memories. Let your eyes to focus on the darkness and forget everything around you. Open your eyes and try the exercise again. Hopefully the results are different and the image stayed longer the second time around. If not, you may need to find some eye relaxing exercises and work on removing the strain.
           
Your memory can be affected by your vision. We need the vision to see the image. The more clearly we see the image the more detail we can recall on later. Focusing on the positive things can help keep the mind relaxed and the eyes free of strain.
           
The following exercise can help you relax and sharpen your memory. Try it before going to bed. While lying in bed tonight concentrate on all the positive memories that happened throughout the day. Picture the events of the in as much detail and color as possible. Try picturing your lunch or the clothes the person who complimented you was wearing. Focusing on the positive things can clear your mind, relax the body, and give you a better sleep at night.
           
Your eyesight will not only improved but also your memory can be sharp again just by eliminating too much strain from your eyes.
